Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (we like to use Jimmy Dean Hot sausage)
  • 3 cups Bisquick™ baking mix
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or triple cheddar are our favorites)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage, cheese, and Bisquick.
  • Knead the ingredients together with your hands until the mixture is moist and uniform. (It takes a bit of work with your hands, but it is completely mixed when there are no loose pieces of cheese remaining in the bowl.)
  • Form balls with the mixture by pinching and rolling in your hands. Balls should be about 1 inch in size.
  • Place balls on baking sheet and bake for approximately 16 minutes.
  • Use a spatula about half way through baking to move the balls on the baking sheet to prevent sticking.
