- 1 lb sausage (we like to use Jimmy Dean Hot sausage)
- 3 cups Bisquick™ baking mix
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or triple cheddar are our favorites)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage, cheese, and Bisquick. Knead the ingredients together with your hands until the mixture is moist and uniform. (It takes a bit of work with your hands, but it is completely mixed when there are no loose pieces of cheese remaining in the bowl.)
Form balls with the mixture by pinching and rolling in your hands. Balls should be about 1 inch in size.
Place balls on baking sheet and bake for approximately 16 minutes.
Use a spatula about half way through baking to move the balls on the baking sheet to prevent sticking.
