Being a parent is a challenge, but navigating all aspects of military life while jumping the hurdles of parenting can be exhausting! I totally understand, because that’s my life too!
I’m Jill. I run Military With Kids as a resource and community for military families. I am a military spouse of 11 years and a mom of two very active boys.
Military With Kids was designed with YOU in mind! Each of us has been tackling the challenge of PCSing, swimming in the fluidity of military spouse careers, constantly changing social networks, navigating Tricare, dealing with deployments, deciphering military lingo all while embracing the advantage of military discount benefits separately for too long. Not anymore!
Military With Kids blogging community is a friendly and supportive hive providing information and experience through all the ups and downs of being a military family.
I Want To Hear From You!
Come say hi on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter! Please leave a comment on any of my posts and I will always respond. If you would like to chat about anything else, including business partnerships or guest blogger opportunities, just shoot me a message on the Contact page.
Still curious about my personal life? Its cool, I’m curious about yours too! Here are some facts about me:
I grew up in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia and lived in the same home from kindergarten through high school. Moving frequently as a military spouse was definitely new to me!
My husband and I met after college at the University of Florida homecoming parade. He is a diehard Gator fan, which is unfortunate, as I would rather see the Auburn Tigers win most anything! We have moved 7 times in our almost 10 years of being married. In addition to our two boys, our family includes a dog (Scarlet), two horses (Peter and Harley), and a tortoise (Plato).
My passion for travel continued after our kids were born. I used my time as a stay at home mom to become an independent travel agent. Planning memory making travel for others brings me such joy. As a family we enjoy visiting new ports on cruises, making countless trips to Walt Disney World, and exploring the cities around wherever the Navy sends us. We are always planning our next adventure together!
