Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up quickly and perhaps in 2020, more than any year other, parents have an overwhelming appreciation for how hard teachers work.
Teachers have been working around the clock to learn new technologies and to modify lesson plans. Their hearts were broken when they were told schools would not be opening again this year. Yet they have continued to be vital in helping our kids maintain a connection to a feeling of normalcy, all while juggling their own chaos at home.
But how can we show teachers our appreciation while practicing social distancing?
When is Teacher Appreciation Week 2020?
Teacher Appreciation week is always held the first full week of May. During this dedicated students, their parents, and school principals have the opportunity to show their appreciation of teachers and thank them for their dedication and the contributions they make to our kids, the field of education and society as a whole.
This year teacher appreciation week is May 4 – May 8, 2020.
